Should the crime have occurred in New Orleans, where NOPD detectives are prohibited from directly accessing Facial Recognition platforms, City Ordinance does allow NOPD detectives to accept and use Facial Recognition match results from Project NOLA, when the Facial Recognition search was proactively initiated by Project NOLA staff or a private citizen.
