Project NOLA Crime Camera Video, Facial Recognition, and LPR Data Retention & Privacy Policy
Crime Camera Geographic Locations and Footage:
With over 95% of Project NOLA Crime Cameras being hosted on homes, businesses, schools, churches and other private property, the geographic location of each crime camera is kept strickly confidential to protect the identity and privacy of camera hosts. Project NOLA Crime Camera footage is retained on proprietary cloud servers at Project NOLA's National RTCC, located at the University of New Orleans, for a period of two weeks before video is automatically deleted and overwritten. Video may only be accessed by Project NOLA staff, authorized members of local law enforcement, and any licensed security guard company that may be contracted to provide supplemental security for a specific neighborhood. Project NOLA does not sell or share video footage to third parties.
